Our Approach to Workforce Development
WorkSource Partners provides and coordinates training, career counseling, and hiring services. We help companies find, keep, and develop entry-level employees, reducing turnover, lowering costs, improving productivity, and enhancing customer service. We have forged long-term partnerships with national and regional organizations such as Staples, Genesis ElderCare, KFC and Partners HealthCare System, helping them invest in their entry-level workers through our core services:

WorkSource is committed to address the significant "skill gaps" in today's workforce through the delivery of career initiatives for entry-level employees. Our ability to work effectively with entry-level employees and their supervisors enables us to provide a seamless approach to employee development - one that supports an organization's human resources strategy. Working in partnership with human resources and senior management, we combine efforts to meet the needs of the individual and the organization. As our work progresses and employee retention increases, we enable human resources to focus additional time on strategic development initiatives.

Some of our training work is done directly with employees in group settings. Other times we work with individual employees in a one-on-one environment, helping them to identify and pursue career goals. In a growing number of cases, WorkSource provides the bridge between corporations and community colleges where we coordinate many or all aspects of the development and facilitation of classes.

We work with our partner companies to help them find good people who want to work and grow. By tapping our vast network of community-based organizations, we can dramatically expand a client's recruiting reach. We screen for motivation and the desire to learn, relying on the client organization to determine the candidate's best role in the organization. In all cases we continue to work with these employees to help them learn the particular skills they need to do their jobs well.
